IRVING, TX – October 24, 2005 – DynCorp International is joining forces MD Helicopters and two other companies to compete for a contract to produce light utility helicopters for the U.S. Army.

MD Helicopters proposed on October 20 to provide its MD Explorer® to the Army’s light utility helicopter program. The federal government seeks to buy more than 300 helicopters to supply the $1.3 billion program.
