IRVING, Texas – Nov. 15, 2005 –
DynCorp International LLC is one of six companies selected to provide
base-operating support and temporary construction capabilities for the
U.S. Air Force on an as-needed basis. The 10-year, indefinite
delivery-indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract is worth up to $10
billion to all awardees. It will require extensive worldwide support
capabilities with minimal response time.
Under the Air Force
Contract Augmentation Program III Contract, DI and its team of
subcontractors will focus on temporary contingency skills and resources
to sustain military forces involved in the global war on terrorism,
other military operations, disaster response, humanitarian response,
and nation building. DI will also provide planning and deployment
support in these kinds of operations for the Air Force and Department
of Defense or any supporting federal agency. This may include the
National Command Authority and joint or combined U.S. military forces
acting with the United Nations, North Atlantic Treaty Organization,
multinational force, or other organizations.
