DynCorp International Receives Highest Award from FAA
FALLS CHURCH, Va. — Mar. 13, 2007
DynCorp
International has won the Federal Aviation Administration's Diamond
Certificate of Excellence for the fifth consecutive year.
The
award recognizes DI for providing outstanding maintenance for aircraft
used by America's leaders at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland.
The
FAA's Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) Award is a program based
entirely on the commitment made by the maintenance technicians to
further their technical knowledge and understanding by attending
advanced training courses. There are five levels of the award, with the
diamond being the highest.
The award acknowledges that at least
50 percent of DI's AMTs advanced their skills through the company's
sponsored training program.
In addition to the overall company
award, 175 DI employees were given AMT awards based on their training.
There are five levels of the award, with the diamond being the highest.
Len Campbell, a DI Andrews Support Division Manager, accepted the award on behalf of the company.
"The
aviation community believes that the AMT award symbolizes the best of
what the aviation maintenance industry has to offer. This award
represents DI's willingness to maintain the aircraft entrusted to its
care and recognizes the personal commitment afforded by the men and
women who meet and exceed the highest level of aviation standards in
accomplishing the demanding mission of the United States' most visible
Special Air Mission Fleet," Campbell said.
